Brigadier Pograjc Attends the Monte Tomba Ceremony in the Republic of Italy

On Sunday, 5 September 2010, the Monte Tomba Alpini section hosted a ceremony on the Monte Tomba in the Republic of Italy to honour the 50th anniversary of the church dedicated to the Alpini and all fallen soldiers who fought in this area from 1917 to 1918.

This year's memorial service, already the 30th in a row, was visited by approximately one thousand members of the Italian Alpini with families and delegations from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, United States of America, Hungary and United Kingdom. Brigadier Bojan Pograjc, IFMS Secretary General, also attended the event and participated with other delegations in the wreath-laying ceremony and the holy mass dedicated to all soldiers who lost their lives in this region.

As part of the ceremony, Brigadier Pograjc met with Hungarian General Szeles Erno, head of Hungarian delegation. He also exchanged memorial gifts with the organizer's  representative and thanked him for the invitation and hospitality. The representative of the organizer expressed his satisfaction with the visit of IFMS Secretary General, Brigadier Pograjc, and his hope to receive the IFMS delegation at the ceremony also in the future.
